MPL Poker Interface Walkthrough for First-Time Users
MPL (Mobile Premier League) Poker is one of the most accessible and beginner-friendly poker platforms in India. Whether you’re familiar with Texas Hold’em or brand new to the game, MPL’s clean design and intuitive controls make it easy to get started.
In this walkthrough, you’ll learn how to navigate the MPL Poker interface, from downloading the app to playing your very first hand.
Getting Started with MPL Poker
Download and Install the MPL App
To begin, visit the official MPL website and download the app for your Android or iOS device. Once installed, open the app and register using your mobile number. You’ll receive an OTP to verify your account.
After logging in, you’ll land on the main game lobby, where you can explore all of MPL’s available games, including Poker.
Navigating to the Poker Section
From the home screen, find and tap the “Poker” icon. This will direct you to the MPL Poker dashboard where all the Texas Hold’em action takes place.
Exploring the Poker Lobby
The MPL Poker lobby is where you can choose what type of game to play. You’ll find options for:
- Cash Games
- Sit & Go (SNG) Tournaments
- Multi-Table Tournaments (MTTs)
You can also filter by entry fee, blinds, or game type. Additional tabs include “Play Now,” “My Games,” “Leaderboard,” and “Wallet.”
How to Join a Game
Quick Start Option
The “Play Now” button places you at a cash game table with players of similar skill. It handles buy-in and seating for you — perfect for beginners who want to jump in instantly.
Registering for a Tournament
In the “Tournaments” tab, browse events by buy-in, start time, and prize pool. Tap “Register” to join. A notification will remind you when it starts.
Table Interface Overview
Once you’re seated, here’s what you’ll see:
Player Avatars and Stacks
Each player is represented by an avatar with a visible username and chip count.
Hole Cards and Community Cards
Your two private hole cards are shown at the bottom. The flop, turn, and river community cards appear in the center during play.
Action Buttons
Depending on your turn and the game state, you’ll see buttons like:
- Fold
- Check
- Call
- Raise (with slider control)
Timer and Turn Indicator
A countdown timer shows how long you have to act. If it runs out, your hand will auto-fold.
Chat and Emojis
You may be able to use emojis or short chat phrases depending on the table settings, adding a social aspect to the game.
